We were waiting for it for a long time. Now it’s here. The fastest Octavia ever! Powerful performance and innovative technology, racy design and sporty interior, pure emotion and racing feel.
You can choose between the two-litre petrol 162 kW (220 HP) or two-litre diesel 135 kW (184 HP). The 2.0 TSI, in conjunction with the six-speed manual gearbox, thrusts the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds. The maximum speed is 248 km/h. The new Octavia RS 2.0 TDI thrusts the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds with a top speed of 232 km/h. Sports suspension as standard. The newly developed multi-link axle is used as the rear axle.
The designers have created four new wheel designs - 17 inch ‘Dorado’, 18 inch ‘Gemini’ (in silver or anthracite), ‘Pictoris’ and 19 inch ‘Xtrem’ light alloys (in black). The car is considerably lower than the standard Octavia. Red-lacquered brake callipers looks great. The rear is dominated in the lower section by a strong black diffuser element and the overlying wide reflector spotlight. These elements are also distinctive features of the new Octavia RS just like the two large, trapezoidal-shaped chrome exhaust tailpipes. One of them is fake with no function 
But what do you think about liftback’s rear spoiler? I think it looks horrible. I prefer Octavia vRS combi 
The sporty, black interior… There are newly developed RS-design sports seats and a sporty 3-spoke steering wheel with perforated leather. The gear stick and handbrake are also of leather. The instrument panel with a rich-colour Maxi DOT display has its own unique RS design. The Steering wheel, gear stick, door sill panels, seats and floor mats all sport the RS logo.
